How to get Havana​

By Air
​

The Jose Marti International Airport (HAV)  is the biggest and the busiest International airport of Cuba. It serves about four million passengers every year.

The airport has five terminals:
  1. First Terminal for domestic flights
  2. Second Terminal for charters flights
  3. Third Terminal for International flights
  4. Fourth Terminal (Aerovaradero Freight) - for Cargo
  5. Fifth Terminal for Carribean flights

US Visa Requirements and Regulations

According to the US Embassy in Cuba  traveling to Cuba is not allowed for US residents.
​

There is a list of permitted reasons to enter Cuba:
  1. Family visits
  2. Official business of the U.S. government, foreign governments, and certain intergovernmental organizations
  3. Journalistic activities
  4. Professional research or professional meetings
  5. Educational activities and people-to-people exchanges
  6. Religious activities
  7. Public performance, clinics, workshops, athletic or other competitions, and exhibitions
  8. Support for the Cuban people
  9. Humanitarian projects
  10. Activities of private foundations or research or educational institutes
  11. Exportation, importation, or transmission of information or informational materials
  12. Travel related to certain authorized export transactions
There are also 2 more reasons how to get Cuba if the purpose of traveling isn’t listed above:
  1. With a license issued by the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC)
  2. As a Cuban National returning home

To travel to Cuba you need:
  • an insurance (twenty-five US dollars which are included in the ticket fees);
  • visa, travel card*, or Cuban passport**;
  • cash.
*buy a travel card online or in Miami (MIA)
**there are special visa requirements for Cuban-born travelers

Only OFFLINE registration with provided reason to visit Cuba is available.

Europe Visa Requirements and Regulations

To get Cuba Visa you will need:
  • Valid passport with an expired date not earlier than six months.
  • Tourist Card (it is an online visa that is sent by e-mail)
  • Round trips tickets
  • Travel insurance

To get a Tourist Card you will need to fill the application form online.

There are three types of Touristic Cards:

1. Standard processing time card - is processed and delivered up to five business days.
The fee: fifty-five US dollars.

2. Rush processing time card -  is processed and delivered up to three business days.
The fee: seventy-five US dollars.

3. Super Rush processing time card:  is processed and delivered within one business day.
The fee: ninety-five US dollars.

According to the documents you get, you are able to stay in Cuba for up to thirty days.
